I am an Irish artist whose work hangs in many countries throughout the world.
I have been painting for many years but took a break some years back to study for a MA in Art history. I am particularly interested in 20th century Irish art, the Renaissance and Byzantine artworks. My recent paintings reflect my love of the Irish countryside and its people past and present. I am fascinated by old buildings in rural settings and I try to reconstruct in my work what these homes would once have looked like. I see these now derelict buildings as formerly providing vessels for the spirits of families who lived there.
All works are executed in oil.
